I have come to believe in clear, considered,
communication solutions, simplicity and
great ideas.
Olympic posters proposal
for London 2012.

My thinking behind these posters was
to convey the movement and energy of the
games, in a simple yet abstract way.

-These posters won best in show at this
years D&AD new blood.

The designs focused on the movement and
speed of the athletes equipment.

They were used to help travelers associate
relevant tube stops with the Olympic events
that are being held there.

Wayfinding proposals using signs and symbols to
communicate directional instructions for the
Olympic games to an international audience.

A book showing views and opinions about the subject of graphic design.

What is the role of a graphic designer?

As designer's we know that our job is about
communicating messages, but does and should
our work cross into an ethical realm?
This book explores different views and opinions
on the issues surrounding the topic, from students
to famous designers.

Istd project

Ten techniques you should know about
bookbinding...

An A3 book, aimed at younger people
encouraging them to get into the craft
of hand-binding their own books.

Working in conjunction with Empress,
I helped design this years student handbook,
for the University College Falmouth. I worked
in a team with photographers, illustrators,
designers and creative writers to create the
handbook given to all students when they start.

Due to my sucess in the 2008, Coley Porter Bell
Shine awards (a competition for 2nd year
undergraduates), I was selected to design a poster
to advertise the event for next year.

A poster promoting a series of lectures,
on type design at the University College Falmouth.
I was only allowed to print with one colour, to
keep production costs to a minimum. The design
had to survive purely on its typographic integrity.

Online forum for the designer.
Getting graphic designers to engage
and discuss their views and opinions
on the subject.

A debate series promotion, on the role
of the designer with society. I created
a range of printed material to advertise
the event.

Univers 65 gallery branding. printed material
and proposal for an imaginary gallery/shop,
selling modernist design ephemera. The design
was based on the typeface Univers in the weight
sixtyfive which was also the name of the gallery.

This project was selected by Coley Porter Bell
for the finals of this years Shine awards.

I created a range of 10 posters based on
modernist typefaces, that could either be
bought or used as wrapping paper, teaching
the buyer about the font, for the gallery
(Univers sixtyfive gallery).

A booklet, showcasing a selection of my photography.
